I have worked in the oncology community in Wilmington since 1994. After working with oncology patients as a nurse practitioner for nearly ten years, I returned to a post-graduate program in pscyhiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to bring mental health services for those with cancer and chronic illness to Wilmington and the surrounding area.
I am board certified as a Psych-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and licensed to provide psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, familes, children as young as age five, and groups. I am also licensed to prescribe psychiatric medications to adults. I incorporate my nursing background, medical knowledge and psychotherapy experience to provide integrative mental health services.
