I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working with children and families in Wilmington since 2011. I am dedicated to a curious and open therapeutic practice to support children, adolescents, adults, and their families in understanding and facing the problems in their lives. I am a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, and received a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Vermont.
It is my hope to provide therapeutic support to people suffering from the effects of chronic illness and other health needs, and provide a space to explore these problems with them and their families. I also address needs such as trauma symptoms, mood disorders, anxiety and stress, family dynamics problems, and behavior issues.
I enjoy practicing Narrative Therapy, an approach in which I work together with people to examine problems and find alternative stories and actions to respond to them. Mindfulness and humor are frequent tools employed in my therapy practice. In addition, I am experienced in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused approaches. Alongside my practice with The Healing Partnership, I work with children and families at The Carousel Center for Abused Children.
